Interprofessional placements

PlacementsANU and UniSA are working together to offer groups of students an interprofessional experience in a hospital, practice or co-located in a rural or remote community.

Third year medical students from ANU join final year allied health and nursing students from UniSA to form multidisciplinary teams on placement in rural towns and communities in:

These Interprofessional Learning (IPL) placements will give students a leading edge as a health professionals by giving students the opportunity to:

  • work as part of a team of medical, nursing and allied health students
  • learn more about the new models of multidisciplinary health care
  • experience a community health approach which may include the provision of outreach services and Aboriginal community health care
  • experience life and work in a rural or remote community.
